LPS Music

Rebecca Scofield is the director of Choirs for Leslie Public Schools.  She is in her 20th year teaching vocal music at the high school and middle school.  She also directs the musicals at LHS.  Her choirs consistently earn Division 1 ratings at district and state festivals.

Leslie High School Vocal Music program is comprised of four high school choirs.  Chorale is  a select auditioned mixed ensemble comprised of soprano, alto, tenor and bass voices.  Ladies concert choir is comprised of three part ladies voices.  Select 9/10 is an auditioned ensemble of 9th and 10th grade girls which meets Monday and Wednesday mornings at 7:15am. Mornings Gals is an upper class select auditioned ensemble that meets Tuesday and Thursdays mornings at 7am.

Leslie Middle School has three choirs.  One seventh grade choir and  an eighth grade choir, and a select auditioned choir that meets on Friday mornings at 7am.  The middle school choirs consistently receive Division 1 ratings at District Choral festival.
